Anima is a term used by Carl Jung to characterize the archetype of the female spirit; its complement for the male is animus. "Anima Rising" is a lovely song by Joni Mitchell as well as the name of my organization which encourages the expansion of consciousness and the development of human potential.

My interest in the subject harkens back to my undergraduate days at Penn State where I participated in a multidisciplinary honors program in consciousness studies, and took graduate level classes in cultural anthropology and mystical traditions. My continuing education has included coursework at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, as well as at the Monroe Institute.  

I earned my MBA from William & Mary and have been named to Who’s Who in America.  I created the workshop Manifest Destiny ™ in 2006 to share my knowledge of how to create the beautiful life you really, really want.

My taste for adventure has led me to kayak whitewater rivers on three continents, and I have sojourned across our country twice. I also enjoy the practice of  Tai Chi and Esalen Massage. 

I am currently writing Adventures on the Edge of Enlightenment, a memoir in which careening down wild rivers provides the backdrop for a life altering expansion of consciousness.
